About

Hi! My name is Tammy Lash. I used to tell stories…now I write them.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a student of story-telling. My mom taught Children’s Church and told stories that made my eyes dry…I’d focus so intently on her words, I wouldn’t blink. She told stories that made my eyes wet…she always had a tear-jerker ending! Her stories were like a summer storm. Soft and gentle at first, to get you familiar with the characters. It would build into a climax that she handled with an artistic skill similar to a that of a painter with his brush to canvas. She’d soften her voice, slow her words and at just the right moment she’d grab my attention with a boom of thunder. That was my mom. I was so proud of her, I wanted to be just like her…

…except, I couldn’t. I was different. My stomach always hurt.

It wasn’t until I was an adult in my 30’s that I found out the chest-pains and stomach aches that I had since I was 5 had names. Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety and  Post Traumatic Stress. The stories I wanted to tell when it was my turn to serve were difficult. I had to get beyond all the little eyes on me. My Lord, however, mine since I was 5, was gracious. He gave me the strength I needed to teach. My husband and I taught Children’s Church at various churches for over 20 years. Upon the urging of a Pastor, I began to write: devotionals (Keys For Kids), church plays and I began to write my Children’s Church stories down.

The Lord has been a forever faithful father to me. He wrote me the most beautiful story! I have been married to my soul mate for 26 years and we have three amazing kids! It’s been through His power and grace that I have these four gifts in my life and countless others that have been instrumental in my journey. I am a survivor!! Of childhood sexual abuse, my brother’s suicide, a miscarriage, and a slew of panic attacks that are too numerous to count! God is good!

My latest project is a celebration and a re-telling of sorts of how the Lord carried me through the rubble. White Wolf and The Ash Princess is a story that has been 3 years in the making mingling my “experiences” with my love of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I’m really excited to share this story with you. I hope it is as much as a blessing to you as it was for me to write it.

Thanks for visiting my page and celebrating White Wolf with me!

  1. I have been wanting to read White Wolf and the Ash Princess, but when I was going to order it on Amazon… it’s listed as “Out of Print” Any idea why this happened? I thought you were indie published?
Also, will there be an eBook (I do prefer paperback, but sometimes I do buy eBooks because they are cheaper)?

Looking forward to reading White Wolf and the As Princess!

    1. Hi!!! Thank you so much for your interest in White Wolf!

White Wolf will be back super soon. I’m guessing mid to late June. It’s in the process of becoming an e-book. I thought since I was doing that, I might as well clean up the typos that slipped through the editing process.

White Wolf was so much fun to write! The sequel, Letters From the Dragons Son is in the works and will hopefully be ready some time next year.

MANY thanks again, for your question and your interest! Hang tight!! White Wolf is getting polished and it’ll be ready for you soon! 😀
